      This video shows the build of a gravity fed, drip waste oil burner .This is the one of the simplest design for maximum heat and flexibility .The concept behind this burner is that Oil does not burn, but the fumes it gives off when the oil is boiling.The deeper the pan the harder is it to maintain an efficient boil.A cast iron pan maintains the higher temperature the best and does not threaten to burn through.The secondary holes in the vertical pipe are where the actual burn is occurring.The materials needed for this build are Air compressor tank,Pan that has been burnt for about one and half hour,Oil, like motor oil,Flamer,Chimney pipe (with length of about ten feet).This setup creates a lot of carbon in and around the burning chamber, but does not smoke at all.It will run about 400-500 degree Celsius (at the base) at under or up-to 1L per hour

      The first step in creating your hydroelectric generator is to create the discs. There are two parts to the disc, the stator and rotator disc. The stator disk is stationary and contains the coils. The rotator disc will be spun using the water current. The magnets will spin against the coils, creating an electric current. Now that we know the process, it is time to learn how you can make a hydroelectric generator yourself.

      You can create these discs using templates that you can find online. Trace the amount uncovered and use them as templates to cut the discs that you will be using. Make a hole in the discs ½ inch wide, so the half-inch PVC pipe can fit through the center of them.

      Place the discs side-by-side and attach the fins to the turbine. Attach the turbine to the rotator disc so it spins as the turbine spins. Make sure the fins are facing into the flow of water so that they will be pushed as the water passes through them.

      Next, attach the coils to the stator and at the magnets to the rotator disc. When you add the magnets, alternate them with their North and South poles. Make sure each north facing magnet is next to two south facing magnets. Likewise, make sure each south facing magnet is next to two north facing magnets.

      Add the turbine, rotator disc, and stator disk to the PVC pipe and rest it on top of the bucket. Pour water over The fins and the turbine will begin spinning. As the turbine spins, it will begin producing current as the bank is passed across the coils.

        This video shows the build of a “pure water” Water Distiller that easily turns dirty water/salt water etc… into clean fresh pure water. This produces lots of clean water fast. Made from close to 12 feet of copper tubing along with a few fittings (optional stainless steel tube shown as well). video contains full instructions on how to build it. Early testing shows it produces about a quart in 1.5 hrs (and half gallon in 2.5 hrs). note that i soldered on the copper fitting. If you don’t have a torch, they sell “push on” fittings that require no soldering. *if soldering, remember to use “lead-free” solder.The process is simple. It boils water and creates steam.

        The steam rises without bringing any of the impurities along with it. The steam travels through the coils and slowly cools and condenses. It finally condenses back to its liquid form and drips out as clean water.

          This video series shows the setup of a micro hydro system using a flume which is basically a water trough that carries water to some height so the water can fall.The water enters the screw at the top and the weight of the water pushes on the helical flights, allowing the water to fall to the lower level and causing the screw to rotate.This rotational energy can then be extracted by an electrical generator connected to the main shaft of the screw.

          The materials you need to build this are Four decking boards – To serve as the floor in size to direct the water.
          Two 2×4’s – These will be cut to provide support for the decking boards,Screws – To secure the boards in place.6” PVC Pipe – Used as the body casing,Flange Bering – To spin the turbine,PVC T-Joint – Serves as the opening to let water flow through it,Farm Auger – This will spin as the water flows through it.

          Building the flume is a simple process, but it may take a lot of work depending on how far you need to take the water. We will show you how to build one section of the flume. From there, you can replicate this and make the flume as long as you need to.

          Take your 2×4’s and cut out two pieces that are 22 inches long, two pieces that are 17 inches long, and four pieces that are 8 inches long. Start out by laying the three 22 inch pieces horizontally and place two decking boards on top of them. Take the other two decking boards and use them as the side barriers for the water. Attach the four 8 inch pieces on either side of the supports and use the 17-inch pieces as cross supports over top of the flume.

          This is the completed section of the flume. Continue to replicate this and add to the flume as needed. You can attach stilts to the bottom of the flume to angle it downwards for the water to flow through it.

          Building the Archimedes screw turbine is simple. To start, simply take your PVC pipe and attach the pieces together. Since this is only a four-piece setup, it is very straightforward to set up. Insert the auger and make sure it has room to spin without too much friction slowing it down.

          Once the Archimedes screw turbine is put together, bring it to your flume and you can begin using it. Situate the flume so that it is creating a waterfall that you can position the screw turbine underneath. As water flows into the turbine, it will spin it. You can use this force to generate electricity.
          One of the great things about this setup is that it never stops. For as long as you have running water in the area, you will be able to generate electricity with this setup.

          This video shows you how to recycle scrap metal in the backyard, with a homemade, Mini Metal Foundry.Depending on where you get, or find, your materials the cost can range anywhere from $5-$25 per unit. With the materials I used, I was able to make 2 units for under $40 ($20 each).Even on the high end, this is probably one of the cheapest, reliable, backyard foundries that can be made.I used mine to melt soda cans, and extract the aluminum for future metal casting projects. All the soda cans came from a local recycling depot.
