  • How to build a Simple Homemade OFF GRID Refrigerator from easily available materials
This video shows the build of an OFF GRID Refrigerator from cheap and easy to find materials. This design uses both the cooling effect of evaporation, and two water cooled condenser coil's. The fridge is shown using both a water ram pump at the end, and an electric pump powered by 12 volt/solar, it only uses 8 watts an hour using electric. There is an air gap between the sheet and the wall of the fridge because the water running down the sheet wont evaporate as well and that the water temp is not as low as the evaporative temp so the water touching the cooler could increase the temps and limit some of the potential cooling. If the power goes out and the fridge doesn’t keep things cool anymore – what other options do we have? If you are trying to live off grid and have no power source – how can you keep food and certain medicines cool and usable for longer? Then this Offgrid Refrigerator  is the answer.
