This video shows you how to recycle scrap metal in the backyard, with a homemade, Mini Metal Foundry.Depending on where you get, or find, your materials the cost can range anywhere from $5-$25 per unit. With the materials I used, I was able to make 2 units for under $40 ($20 each).Even on the high end, this is probably one of the cheapest, reliable, backyard foundries that can be made.I used mine to melt soda cans, and extract the aluminum for future metal casting projects. All the soda cans came from a local recycling depot.

  • How to build a simple Homemade PVC Off grid River Pump to pump water from a river or creek
This video shows the build of a river pump  that you can use to pump water from a nearby river or creek anywhere you want. It works by harnessing the flow of the river and creating air pressure to push the water further. It pushes water out from the river and up through your hose system, which you can direct where needed. To use a river pump, all you need is a nearby river or creek that has flowing water and a location that is deep enough to support your river pump. As long as you have that and the necessary supplies, you are good to go.

  • How to build a Simple Homemade Bandsaw Mill from Old Car Wheels
[the_ad id="6432"] This video shows the build of an really inexpensive homemade bandsaw mill out of old car wheels. One of the best things about this design is it’s simplicity of course, but it’s also made from salvaged and repurposed materials, which helps cut the cost of the sawmill down to an affordable level. Not everyone can afford $4000 to $5000 for a brand new portable sawmill. Building your own sawmill not only gives you that sense of satisfaction of doing it yourself, but it saves you money.Bottom line, it’s a tool you’ll use for years to come, and will more than pay for itself the first time you use it. Lumber isn’t cheap, and if you’ve got the natural resources and access to those resources, it makes the most sense to save money, time, and effort by using what you have available
